Books and Readings

God's Livestock Policy by Stan Apps is now available on the Les Figues website. This is book #4 in the TrenchArt Parapet series. Stan will be in Los Angeles this April, reading at the &Now Festival and Beyond Baroque.

Also, we hope you'll come out to Skylight Books this Saturday, March 1 at 5 p.m., to hear Cecily Parks and Jennifer Chang reading from their new books published by the University of Georgia Press. Their editor contacted Les Figues to help set up/host a this reading, and we're glad to welcome them to LA.

Parapet Updates

We've received Stan Apps' book, God's Livestock Policy, and will be sending out copies to current (Parapet) members within the week. Additionally, we're sending Axel Thormählen's book, A Happy Man and Other Stories, to the printer today. Judith Freeman wrote an excellent introduction, and she will be introducing Axel and his translator Marianne at a USC reading this April.

Area Sneaks interviewed Stephanie Taylor, author of Chop Shop and artist for LFP's Material Series. Stephanie will be performing at the Area Sneaks launch party on Saturday, February 16.

Finally, thanks to all who participated in the Les Figues Press blog survey.
